Alphingtones choir

Alphingtones Choir has been going for many years now and is full of lovely (tuneful) locals! They used to meet at ACC but now meet at St Andrew’s Church just behind Grill’d off Station Street so they have more room to spread out in these Covid times …

And they need some more members - in particular bass and tenor singers (but everyone is welcome!).

If you are interested in being part of this group that meets weekly on a Thursday night just email or call (details below).

Bookings open … and we’re back!

Hi all, we’re back from holidays today and we’re looking forward to seeing you in person.

It has been a very quiet holiday for me (Leanne) as I had Covid … but I am feeling less tired and ready to ease back into things.

Note that we’ve updated our booking system and are trialling a Square online shop … so you might notice some changes if you are booking into our exciting short courses and workshops available across Term 3 and 4.

And … please bear with us … and give us a call or email if you need help with anything.

You can find out more and check out our brochure here or go directly to our shop and book in here.

Craft and chat ...

Anne and Marie-Louise are keen to rebuild our Friday morning Craft and Chat session … which somewhat petered out over Covid. With winter here there’s NO BETTER TIME to take a couple hours out of your week to get creative, and meet up with other locals who share your interests and talents!

Also, if you are just a beginner … Anne has loads of sewing skills to share … and we have some sewing machines here you can practise on. She’s also a knitter - if you want to learn to knit. And Marie-Louise is a crocheter - who is also happy to share her skills.

So, if you’d like to get together and Craft and Chat on Friday’s from 10am-12pm (with morning tea at 11.30am) please come along from Monday 11 July (the start of Term 3).

Anne and Marie-Louise would love to welcome you!

Arty gardening

Last week we decorated seed packets together … marigolds … and filled up our seed library with the gorgeous packets.

This week we welcome Clare Mannion to run our Friday morning program. Some of you will probably know Clare - her children were at Alphington PS.

We’ll be looking forward to exploring some more Arty Gardening projects together in the coming months and tapping into both her gardening knowledge and arts background. Welcome Clare.

If you are interested in gardening, engaging in garden based arty activities outdoors with others or keen to have a neighbourhood chat you can join us in the garden from 10am on Fridays, followed by morning tea at 11.30am.
