Derek’s key hook project is complete! Just in time for the school holiday break … ACC will be closed for two weeks.

Our new program will be out Monday and we’ll be taking bookings from Wednesday for next term. We’ve got some great things coming up including Women in the Shed for term 3 and 4, Cultural Cooking with Manu, stitching sessions with Serene …and more.

We’ll be back on deck on Monday 11 July. See you then! Happy mid year holidays.

We were a bit sad to see that someone had damaged our seed library a few weeks ago … but super pleased to have Corrado and Max on the job on Friday to cut some new Perspex and repair the door for us.

Darebin Council has a provided our neighbourhood house with access to Rapid Antigen Tests to distribute to people in our neighbourhood who are at-risk members of multicultural communities and those most in need.

So, if you feel sick and need to do a Covid test, and are from a multicultural background, are older or have a disability or don’t have family support, or are on a pension etc. etc. and can’t access one elsewhere for whatever reason … then please feel free to email us or call.

And if you live nearby and are feeling like you are too sick to leave your house we can possibly drop the kit off to you!

It is reassuring to know that our governments are working together and utilising their networks including their connections to grassroots community organisations like ours to ensure that no one misses out on testing if they need it.
