Thanks to everyone who has taken a block home to decorate. Thanks to those who have dropped them back already.

They are looking pretty lovely. It is super to see houses and people, and pets all included. Along with fabulous community messages. We’re looking forward to seeing all the other ones that come in. And getting the ‘set’ out for play.

Kalimna took some pretty cute photos of the cubby being used for the very first time by children from Japanese playgroup a couple of weeks ago just before lockdown.

And it has been well used ever since.

As you would expect, we’re asking everyone not to use our playground for the next two weeks whilst we all work collectively to get COVID 6.0 under control.

Then we look forward to seeing YOU in person and IT back in action!

Also … you might like to sign up to receive their news in your inbox … to keep up to date with what’s going on and coming up. Yarra City Arts do a fabulous job supporting a wide variety of artists, arts projects and events, and art spaces across Yarra each year.

We’re creating a set of building blocks for everyone to play with … featuring the houses in our neighbourhood. And we’re hoping you’ll help us out, by picking up a block from our collection bin, drawing your house on it with a black sharpie and returning it to us. Then we’ll add some colour … and a roof.

Look out for our community arts bins out on the corner over the next few days and join in.

Unfortunately plan 6.0 doesn’t have any more clarity that 5.0. We’re working away behind the scenes and will try to get everything back up and running as soon as possible … when it is possible.

Like the last time, if we open up midweek it is likely that we wont resume formal programming (eg. short courses) until the following week. We’ll try to reschedule them if we can. If you are enrolled we will be in touch with you to clarify things when we get more direction. Don’t hesitate to call or email if you are unsure.

Vague I know .. but we just have to roll with all the things and see how it pans out.
