Sarah's Theme - I'm looking in the sky

Volunteers are so essential to a neighbourhood house. At ACC one of our longstanding volunteers is Sarah. She comes along every week to help us keep the Alphington Toy Library going. In the past she has set up a weekly display highlighting toys that we have in the library, encouraging members to try new things.

Now that we have moved to our new online platform Sarah is helping us pack the orders and has adapted her theme model to an online version. So … here we go!

I’m looking in the sky

Toys in our library that fit in with this theme include:

  • plastic aeroplanes

  • baby play soft birds

  • the telescope

  • the owl and eagle costumes

  • the superman costume

  • the kookabura puzzle

  • a variety of books on stars and planets

  • the threading frame that features the sun and stars

It’s in your imagination what you can see up there!

Toy library friends - please note our we close the library for the holidays, so if you have toys due back just renew them - and we’ll see you after 10 July!

If you’d like to join our library you can find our more here. It costs $45 plus GST for an annual membership.

School holidays

Hello, just a reminder that our office is closed for 2 weeks over the school holidays. We’ll be responding to emails still - but in a less timely fashion than usual.

Some of our self-directed activities such as Line Dancing and Ukulele and our Book Clubs will still be meeting, but others that rely on our staff to be present are taking a break.

We’ll be back in the office on Monday 10 July. See you then.
