Book club spots

Hello book lovers,

Have you been looking for a book club to join? We are now taking new members for spots in our existing book clubs for 2024.

Our book clubs meet monthly and we have vacancies in our evening:

  • 3rd Monday of the month group

  • 3rd Tuesday of the month group, and

  • 1st Thursday of the month group.

The cost is $60 for the year. Books are supplied by Darebin Libraries. You can click on this link to join.

Note that the first meeting will be in February.

We look forward to welcoming new faces to these very successful groups next year.

The kiosk

A new addition arrived this week on the back of a truck and was forklifted into place.

The kiosk. All the way from the Ukraine. Via Fossil Vintage in Sparks Avenue.

Fun!

Long weekend

ACC is closed on Monday and Tuesday for the long weekend.

We hope you have a great break (the weather looks super) and we’ll see you bright eyed and bushy tailed on the other side.

November is going to be an amazing month for art and music 🎵 in our neighbourhood - with Art for All at Fairfield Primary School and Music from the Wetlands on the same weekend (luckily there’s enough time to do both!) … followed by the Open Studios weekends - and our end of year Makers Market on the last Saturday of November. How fun!

Alphington open studios weekends

Coming up at the end of the month, we’re super excited to be hosting three artists this year - Sharon West, Katie Roberts and Maxine O’Brien.

Put the dates in your diary and take a stroll through the neighbourhood to experience another great year of local art.

On the first Saturday (25 November) you’ll also be able to get your Christmas shopping done at our Christmas Makers Market.
