Thanks Meet for bringing along samosa and Indian sweets, along with table decorations for our early Diwali celebrations. It is wonderful to be able to share a variety of cultural celebrations throughout the year as part of our weekly lunch program.
ACC Online
“connecting our community”
A new addition arrived this week on the back of a truck and was forklifted into place.
The kiosk. All the way from the Ukraine. Via Fossil Vintage in Sparks Avenue.
Fun!
ACC is closed on Monday and Tuesday for the long weekend.
We hope you have a great break (the weather looks super) and we’ll see you bright eyed and bushy tailed on the other side.
November is going to be an amazing month for art and music 🎵 in our neighbourhood - with Art for All at Fairfield Primary School and Music from the Wetlands on the same weekend (luckily there’s enough time to do both!) … followed by the Open Studios weekends - and our end of year Makers Market on the last Saturday of November. How fun!
Coming up at the end of the month, we’re super excited to be hosting three artists this year - Sharon West, Katie Roberts and Maxine O’Brien.
Put the dates in your diary and take a stroll through the neighbourhood to experience another great year of local art.
On the first Saturday (25 November) you’ll also be able to get your Christmas shopping done at our Christmas Makers Market.
The Alphingtones are a local choir that used to meet here before Covid … but are now meeting at St Andrew’s church in Fairfield. Just behind Grill’d.
And their annual concert is coming up.
Here are the details if you’d like to attend.
And … if you feel inspired you might even like to join up … everyone is welcome … but they especially need some men with nice deep voices!
