Movie Club - Sweet As

We are off to the movies again next week on Tuesday 13th of June.

We plan to see Sweet As at the Palace Westgarth Cinema at 12:15pm.

If you want to travel in with me (Kalimna) I will catch the 11:47am city-bound train from Alphington Station.

The story is set in remote Pilbara country in Western Australia. A troubled 16 year old Indigenous girl, Murra, finds herself abandoned after an explosive incident with her mother. On the cusp of beign lost in the “Child Protection” system, an unusual life line is thrown her way by her uncle Ian, the local cop, in the form of a unique Photo Safari. Before Murra knows it, she is careening down a dusty highway with a minibus full of “at risk” teens and two charismatic team leaders. Directed by Jub Clerc and starring Shantae Barnes.
